… Take one appeared recently, and introduce it to a nest in your garden?

The bees are truly amazing creatures, and maintained between them can be a pleasant pastime and rewarding. To begin well is not always easy. The path can be straightforward or it can be sown difficulties. To ease your way and make your introduction to the world of the bee as pleasant as possible, consider taking the following measures: Find an experienced, successful beekeeper who is willing to help. Look over his shoulder whenever possible, and ask lots of questions. Recognize, however, that years of experience does not guarantee the competence of a beekeeper or success. It may actually be a year of experience repeatedly. Choose your mentor carefully. There are a number of good books available on beekeeping. Read two or three of the most recent. Acquire one or two of them better for your own library. read and reread. In selecting your books, to realize that beekeeping is generally the same in the world. There are national and regional differences, however, in both equipment and methods. Beginners will do well to stay with books written for their own region.
