How many seeds do I need to plant for a hanging basket?

Petunias, Fuchsia, Pansies moonface, etc, i just need to know how many i should buy and plant in one basket.

your seeds and their plants will do better if you start them and raise them a little while in smaller pots and then transplant them later, after they’re of a little size, into the hanging basket…. it’s so much easier to be sure they’re getting sufficient water to those shallow little roots when they’re in smaller containers…. don’t have to be fancy… paper cups or quart milk containers work just fine…. with drain holes, of course!….but once grown, four plants make a full basket…. three if they’re especially bushy…..

I agree… this is not a good time to start seeds unless you’re in spring in Austrailia or thereabouts…. you do better to start them about six weeks before the time of your usual last frost…. here in NC I start mine in early March…. inside the house or the greenhouse….
